Polyguard RD-6 is a non-shielding, anti-corrosion system that consists of a liquid adhesive, a geotextile backed protective pipeline coating and SP-6 outerwrap. It is made with a silicone coated release liner to prevent the layers from sticking to each other and to aid in the application process. Additionally, it features factory-controlled thickness, is resistant to soil stress and is ideally suited for use on buried and submerged line pipe, rehabilitation and new construction girth welds. It can also be used above ground if the coating is protected using RD-6 UV Overcoat.
